GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery Diploma) is a diploma course that can be taken by any student who is involved in individual treatment. The GNM program duration is three years and six months to pursue a career in clinical nursing. The program teaches applicants how to care for people who are ill or disabled in order to help them heal fully. GNM courses are structured to prepare students for the clinical approach to patient care, but the program design varies from university to university. Some universities' curricula require a six-month internship at the end of the course, and the diploma is only awarded after the applicants have completed the internship. The GNM program is designed to prepare qualified candidates to meet the health needs of individual and communities.

Eligibility Criteria for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

If you want to pursue GNM courses you need to pass 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Biology and Chemistry as main subjects. You must get at least 50% marks in 12th Exam and then you have to sit for the entrance exam to get admission in GNM courses. Minimum marks can differ from one institute to the other. Furthermore, all admissions will be dependent on entrance exams; candidates must take state-level or university-level entrance exams.

What is the GNM Course?

The GNM program prepares students for a career as nurses by providing vocational training. The GNM course, with its integrative syllabus, prepares students to understand subjects such as:

• Gynaecological Nursing and Midwifery

How do I take a GNM course?

Nursing is an honorable and moral profession, and nurses play an important part in the healthcare industry. The student will be able to successfully assist the patient and ensure their fast recovery through GNM vocational training. Students will learn about medical care, medications, and how to keep the general public healthy in the course.
